Sometimes the video and photography world can take you in some crazy directions.  Meeting new people and visiting new places, all with the opportunity to push out some amazing and creative content for the world to see.

Well, this year has turned out to be the best yet, and we are only into the middle of March.  We have TONS of travel already on the books and are looking forward to every minute of it.  We will be traveling to Nashville in the coming months for a big production as well as internationally to the Turks and Caicos for some photography work.  That alone will satisfy me but we have already had the opportunity to film some very cool stuff, including Darius Rucker and Ty Herndon.  We are blessed to have had these opportunities.

One has to take the cake though, our production of Southern Living Magazine’s BBQ&A: Best Barbeque of the South.  We had the opportunity to head down to Southern Soul BBQ in St. Simons Island, GA and work with the amazing team at Southern Living to film this episode and it was sure memorable.  It was a full day shoot, with me and my team arriving at 9AM to set up and begin shooting the b-roll.  This included exterior shots, interior shots, and details of the everyday work that goes into this amazing food.  We then set up the Canon C300’s to prepare for the interview segment, but not before sampling THE BEST BBQ of the SOUTH!  After the interviews, we stuck around to film some more b-roll.  After packing up the gear and a celebratory beer, we got on the road.

This was such a cool experience and I will be sure to go back, not to work though but rather to have some lunch with my wife.  Here are some BTS photos from the day.
